When 18-year old Perry's family decides to host an exchange student from Lithuania, he is expecting a steamy romance. Instead, Gobi turns out to be frumpy and uninteresting. That is, until Prom night when everything changes. Gobi turns out to be a little more than Perry can handle.

I listened to the audiobook and it's wildly entertaining. The narrator, Steven Boyer, does a wonderful job with the different voices.

Mitch Rapp, the CIA super assassin, is again in the forefront in the fight against Al Queda terrorists that want to destroy the Great Satan called America. He goes to Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan as American troops have captured two senior Al Queda members that may have knowledge of an impending terrorist attack against the homeland. The problem is that 3 senior Senators have met with the two prisoners and have promised them that no harm would come to them and they would be treated according to the Geneva Convention. During the interrogation they discover that a plot is afoot which could happen at any moment. Unfortunately a Dudley Do Right Air Force captain thinks that his way to promotion and glory is to notify these politicians of Rapp's methods which could land Mitch in jail. Rapp finds himself fighting against the do gooders in his own government as well as trying to find out more on the cells intended targets. This fictional account hits so close to the mark on how our system works now it is really scary. An excellent nail biter of a book.

The assassination of three United States legislators in a short period of time pulls together the CIA and the FBI to try and stop the unknown perpetrators. While investigating it appears as though the assassins are highly trained commandos who are hell bent to make the legislators come together and represent the people the way they were meant to do. Unfortunately some of the power brokers in Washington see this as an opportunity to push their agenda even further. This causes further murders and more mayhem and it appears as though no one in any branch of the government is safe. This is a good read and kind of resembles the government that we presently have (without the murders) only with an outcome that we could only hope for. The twists and turns are gut wrenching and will leave you wondering what is coming up next.

This is the latest book in the Mitch Rapp series and an absolutely riveting read. One of the CIA's top operatives in Afghanistan is missing and his bodyguards are all shot. To add to the complications all of his sensitive information has been taken from the safe in his supposedly, impregnible safehouse. Mitch Rapp is sent over to investigate and find out just what the agency is facing. While sifting through the clues something does not make sense and sends Mitch in an area he does not like. It appears that someone is again using the political world to try and destroy the entire CIA as well as Mitch's boss Dr. Irene Kennedy. This story has a number of twists that will keep the reader enthralled as to how Mitch is ever going to save his department and his life.

When Israel finds a unique way to deal with the Iranian nuclear problem it creates unintended consequences. The Iranians decide to increase the rhetoric and blame the U. S. and Israel for creating a radioactive wasteland near one of their most populated cities and want reparations as well as the U S to leave the middle east or else. A newly elected  President Alexander has to figure out a way to deal with this and asks his top advisors for any ideas. Enter Mitch Rapp with an idea that is very proactive and just might solve the problems that have arisen. Unfortunately people in the Iranian government feel that there are things they can do to make things go their way and team up with one of the most calculating and cruel terrorists to be on the scene in the middle east. Mitch is forced to resort to the extreme measures only he can employ and has 24 hours to protect and defend the nation and people he cares for deeply. A very hard hitting and exciting action thriller. This is what most Americans could only wish their government would do to protect them.

This intriguing book takes the reader through another of Mitch Rapp's adventures. While working on what Mitch has determined to be his last operation things go terribly wrong and he is left wondering just whom he can trust. He heads back to the U. S. where he is supposedly on friendly ground to find out exactly what has happened. It turns into a tangled web with politicians that are once again acting against the best interest of the government for their own personal gain. This is a fascinating tale of just what can happen if the appropriate action is not taken, the third option.

This is another thrilling episode in the life of one of the CIA's best operatives, Mitch Rapp. The action starts on page one and continues through the entire book. Mitch works with some of the best warriors America has to offer to protect our government and way of life. The author brings the reader into the seedier side of politics and the thoughts that go through their heads when terrorists take over the white house and put the President and a number of hostages in dire peril. Although this is fiction the reader can imagine it happening and would only hope that there would be people like Mitch Rapp to look out for our best interests. This is a hard hitting, exciting fictional account that is hard to put down. It even has a dash of romanticism in it that puts a softer side on a story that seems all to possible. Another must read by Vince Flynn.

This spy novel is the first, in the Mitch Rapp series, that gives the reader that "All American" feeling. It gives you a sense of the recruitment, training and making of a unique individual for a specific job, that is to protect Americans from the terrorists that want to kill us all. It describes a series of events that most Americans would like to see the government doing to protect us. The intrigue and suspense leaves you wanting more of the same and anticipating the next in the series. Anyone that aspires for American greatness will love this book and basically wish that it was a reality instead of fiction. I could not put the book down until I finished it and then went back to see if there were parts that I could understand better. A must read book.
