A slim non-fiction book about the night sky

This book gives a nice condensed version of what you might see when you "look up" at night.
The perfect Valentine's Day title
I adore all Todd's books and this is no exception. Simple text accompanies bright bold pictures. Thanks to Kelly for introducing this one to me that somehow missed my radar!
A soccer camp book
Realistic I think. I like how Jackson discovers he is good as a goalie. I like the "ghost"/monk subplot.
A football book
A good book about what it is like to be in middle school, make new friends, try new things (like cooking) and live your life between your dad and mom's house. Oh yeah, and making the team! My favorite character is G-Man who calls himself that instead of grandpa because he thinks he is too young to be a grandpa!
A clever way of writing!
Marilyn Singer has come up with a writing device called the "reverso". It is when you write a poem that can be read both down and up and the meaning is completely changed! In this book, she writes reversos about well know fairy tales. They are very clever. Reading them aloud gives you a good sense of where your inflections should go (and who you are when reading them!). Thanks to a patron who said I must read this book! It is very cool!
Sometimes you need a little shock to make the words come pouring out!
In this entertaining book, Ben receives the gift of a penguin. Ben is very frustrated that the penguin will not talk to him. His attempts to make the penguin talk are hilarious. You will have to read the book to see why the penguin finally opens up!
Is there more to life than white, black and blue?
Edna is a penguin who is tired of the endless white, black and blue and she knows there must be more. Read this book to find out what she discovers on her explorations.
A sweet reunion
A little boy discovers a penguin at his door and decides that he must get him back to the South Pole. Is that what is really meant to happen? Read and find out!
