I thorougly enjoyed this picture book. The illustrations match the whimsy of the text, add to the story, and are a source of interest in themselves. (All qualities that make this book much better than your average picture book these days.) The story is sweet and humorous without being treacly or annoying. Henry's Map is a book adults can share with a child and enjoy. It is not a book you want to bury in the backyard at midnight on a moonless night in the hopes that your child will forget it existed and never ask to see it again.
I totally recommend this book to everyone (an all ages book), but, technically, I believe the intended audience is preschool-age people.
