I rated this book 4 stars.
Three sisters, Caroline, Gracie, and Sam, purchase an old dilapidated Victorian home on Nantucket Island and turn it into a Bread & Breakfast, Misty Harbor Inn. Thrown in is the mystery of the Hannah Montague, who vanished from the house more than a hundred years ago. I didn't realize that this was a series, so, now I will have to read the first book, Seaside Harmony! Fortunately, the book stands alone, and is not necessary to have read the first book for it to make sense!
This was a fun, feel-good, and fast read. I thought the characters were interesting and the interaction amongst the sisters was realistic. Gracie, the sister, who seemed like she didn't belong (by her own admission), enjoyed her role as a "counselor". Not offering a lot of advice, but imploring the listener (and the reader) to look within themselves, and find their own answers.
This is certainly a lighter fare than what I usually read, and it was a pleasant change.
I would recommend this book to others.
(From the back cover: Evangeline Kelley is the pen name for the writing team of Patti Berg, Pam Andrews & Barbara Hanson, and Camy Tang, the four authors who collaborated to create Postcards from Misty Harbor Inn. Each of them has published novels individually, but this is their first series together.)
