Lina and her family live in Lithuania before World War II breaks out.  This is a not a  story about about how the Germans treated the  Lithuanians but what the Russians did to them.  It is a horriifying story about their journey to Siberia.  Lina has love and hope on her side, will it be enough?  A gripping story that is not for the weak of heart.

First of all I only suggest this book IF you have already seen the movie. The reason for this, being, all of the art work and the book itself. The lay out of the book is drawings, and pictures, then explanations. For example, they have several drawings of their ideas for Blackbeard’s flag. Then there are pictures of ideas they had before filming, like sets and towns, characters and how the Fountain of Youth was to look like. All in all, if you’re a fan of the movie, I’m sure you will find this book very interesting.

Trouble is Cloyd’s middle name. At age fourteen he has missed the last four years of school. Where was he all that time? Hiding in the canyons of Utah. He had run away from the group home he had been placed in. He wished people would just leave him alone to live with his grandmother and their goats. Now he was being taken to a farm in Colorado, to help an old man with some jobs. Cloyd didn’t know what they were, and he didn’t care. As soon as he got there, he was going to run away. He was going back to Utah, to live in the canyons again. But when he got there, something changed his mind. Something that he found that would change his life, and the old man’s. Something that seemed so small.

I really liked this book, it was filled with adventure and vivid incidents. I give it a four out of five star rating.

In Maureen Johnson's newest masterpiece, a sequel to 13 Little Blue Envelopes, Ginny finds herself back in England to get the last envelope that was stolen from her previously. Oliver, a man living in England, bought her bag (containing her envelopes) from the theif and tracked Ginny down. So, Ginny goes to England over Christmas break to get the promised letter in the envelope. But, when Ginny and Oliver met, Oliver wouldn't give her the letter. He did tell her, however, that there was one remaining art piece her Aunt Peg wanted her to put together. What she didn't know was that she had to collect three objects and put them together to create the final piece. Oliver did know this and only agreed to give Giiny the letter back if he came with and got half of the final profit from the art auction. After this meeting, she went to see Keith, her boyfriend that she met last time she was in England.
