The Faeman Quest (Faerie Wars #5)
When Mella, Henry and Blue's 15 year-old daughter, starts to get curious about her father's human background she heads to the human world to visit Henry's mother, but instead she finds her Aunt Aisling. Aisling has been curious about the Faerie Realm for years now, so with the help of Mella she opens a portal into the Faerie Realm. Where they get captured, their memories are erased, Mella finds out she has a somewhat-sister, and Lord Hairstreak falls in love. Oh, and there quite possibly could be another war. I gave this book 4/5 stars mostly because it gets a bit boring sometimes. This is the last book in the Faerie Wars series, and I'm really happy with the ending.
A Book You'll Devour
Enter a futuristic Chicago; it is divided into sections based on the virtues people value most. There is Candor, a group of the honest, Abnegation, a group of the selfless, Dauntless, a group of the brave, Erudite, a group of intelligent, and Amity, a group of the peaceful. Children are raised in the section, or faction, they are born in and when they turn sixteen, they get to choose the faction they will follow. Beatrice, a girl born into Abnegation, faces the most difficult choice of her life: to stay with her family, or to be herself. Conflicts ensue as she tries to belong.
This book has everything a reader could want. The entire story hides details from you so you want to read more. There is the ever confusing romance that never goes quite where it is supposed to go. There is action. There is friendship. There is betrayal. It is a book where the characters are believable, their decisions are challenging, and you will want to know the answers to their questions just as much as they do.
Feast of Fools (Morganville Vampires #4)
Bishop, a vampire that is Amelie's father before the afterlife and after, has come to town. He wants to takeover and destroy what Amelie has created. During the welcome ball all is decided; who wins and who loses. I gave this book 3/5 stars. It was good but I think it was just to simple. I love the action and all the romance-y parts, but I just think it could have been better.
The companion to Downriver
Jessie and the rest are back on the river, the Grand Canyon to be exact. Last year, they "borrowed" their guide's river gear and stole away down the Grand, but they were caught before they got to the end. This time it's legal, and Jessie, Troy, Adam, Star, Rita and Pug leave Lee's Ferry roaring to go. But they start to hear rumors about high waters. The people up at the dam are having trouble. This past spring had a lot of snow, then a lot of warm weather. All of the snow on the mountains were melting and the water is running down into the lake. Before they know it they are caught in a mad rush of water, running rapids at record high levels. Will they make it out alive this time, chances look slim.... In addition to that Jessie learns of the alarming reason why Troy came on this trip, and it wasn't for the river. I absolutely love this book it's almost better than the first book, Downriver which I highly recommend. The author, Will Hobbs, wrote these books using his own experience running the Grand Canyon. As a matter of fact, his first solo trip with his wife, was during the record high water levels, that happen in the book. I give this book Five Wet Stars.
The Gift
The One Who is the One is back to tormententing Whit and Wisty, he can actually control nature now, that's totally a scary thought, isn't it? Whit and Wisty are pretty much running for their lives constantly. They find out things they don't want to be true, including the day of their parents execution. Freeland is being bombed like crazy, kids are dying and being taken away, and Byron is a trator all over again. I wasn't crazy about the ending of the book, it was pretty heart-breaking. The rest was pretty crazy, at first I couldn't get into it, but then I didn't want to put it down. It has betrayal, death, addicting chocolate, and some wicked magic going down.
Witch & Wizard
This is the first book in the Witch and Wizard series. It's about a girl and a boy who are taken from their homes by 'The One Who Is The One's posse when they are suspected of being Witch & Wizard. After being convicted and put in a mental insitution for the seriously dangerous and magically capable, they accidentally use their powers, even though the institution is suppose to be magic proof. This is another one of James Patterson's books that's all about kids saving the world. After Wisty and Whit escape, with the help of Celia, Whit's dead girlfriend, they are taken into the shadows, later they are escorted to Garfunkel's, a department store, where all the kids are staying. They save a bunch of kids, and find out that they are mentioned in many prophecies. They also find out their parents are okay, but their house is gone. They've still got a lot of saving to do. I recommend this book for people who are looking for some kick-butt action, magic, love, betrayal, and the coolest powers I have ever heard of!
SilverFin Book Review
I read the book Silverfin, by Charlie Higson. The book is the first of 3 so far, in the Young Bond series. I really like the book because it shows James Bond as a young teenager. It's really exciting and a great read. It's about James Bond and he has to stop this arms dealer from trying to kill lots and lots of people. It's really exciting and keeps you on the edge of your seat. This book is a must read. I hope you all read this book!
Rats in a Maze
Every month a new boy is left to survive in "the glade." The newest boy wakes up on an elevator with no memory except for his first name - Thomas.
When Thomas arrives in the glade he is surrounded by 60 boys who have learned to survive in this completely enclosed environment. No one seems to know why they were sent there, or who would do such a thing to children.
Surrounding the encampment is a huge maze that changes every night. The bravest and fastest boys explore and map the maze by day hoping to find the solution to the maze and a way to get home. Boys who don't make it back to the glade by nightfall are hunted by horrifying creatures called Grievers - part animal, part machine, and completely grusomely deadly.
Can the maze be solved? Who would put innocent boys in such danger? Are the boys innocent and was where they came from any better than the glade?
Read "The Maze Runner" and see if you can solve the puzzle.

Six years pass, and in spite of Dad’s planning for every contingency, the family’s situation has become dismal. Eli has created a routine for himself that involves as little contact with his family as possible. He can’t bear to think about his brother Eddy, and distances himself as much as he can.
