Title: The Host
Author: Stephenie Meyer

Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. The earth has been invaded by a species that take over the minds of their human hosts while leaving their bodies intact, and most of humanity has succumbed. But there was one difficulty Wanderer didn't expect: the former tenant of her body refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.

After reading two reviews on the book blog I decided to check this one out. So glad I did. Around the third chapter I was beginning to worry. I was hooked on , Allie, the main character on the first page although I didn't like her that much. She was cold, stony, and couldn't seem to love anyone but her Mom. She really is devoted to her mom as her mom battles brain cancer and goes crazy. Would I/you be as devoted as her? Allie was very athiestic because of her Mom and when her Mom dies I was afraid this book was going to be very depressing. Her mom was a loveable character even though she was losing it.

This is a fabulous read! It was amazing and very fast! Once you pick it up you can't put it DOWN!
This book is a thrilling mystery! In this book the plot just keeps getting thicker and thicker till the bok is over! A must read!
Aphra Behn Connolly (the main character) has the type of life most teenage girls envy. She lives on a remote tropical island and spends most of her time eavesdropping on the rich and famous. The problem is that her family's resort allows few opportunities for her to make friends, much less to meet cute boys. So when a smoldering Seth Mulo (the cute boy next door)arrives with his parents, she's immediately drawn to him. Sure, he's a little bit guarded, and sure his parents are rather cold, and okay he won't say a word about his past, but their chemistry is undeniable. Then a famous rock star's girlfriend turns up dead on the beach, strangled by her own bikini top, and alarm bells sound. Is it too great a coincidence that Seth's family turned up just one day before a murder? As the plot thickens, Aphra finds that danger lurks behind even the most unexpected of faces. . . .

This is an amazing book! It was a quick read and very thrilling!
The story is based upon a 15 year old Lauren and her life as a little girl growing up with hippie parents (no medicine, no artifical, all healthy) and when she turns 15 her life has suddenly begin to change...
She finds out her parents are not her true parents, she has a plant-cell based body (no blood just cloroplast) and she finds out she is a fairy and finds her true home! This book is a true mystical fiction with trolls, fairies, romance, and fighting for the right cause.

I loved this book! It wasn't what I thought it would be when I first picked it up, but I still liked. The French/Italian statements added a nice tough to the book, but I wish there would have been translations. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes love stories, art, or just a good book. Rating 4.5 out of 5 Stars

Title: Wish
Author: CLAMP (Mangaka group)

This has the right mix of fantasy and action that makes me go back and re-read the story all over again. :)

Title: Matched
Author: Ally Concle

I Thought that it was 5 stars because it is so exciting and I love books that take place in the future because you have to wonder if life could really be that way. I also liked it so much because I can relate to different characters. Its worth reading.

Author: Gayle Forman

Didn't find this novel quite as gripping as the first, but still a great read.

Author: Beth Revis

I read "Across the Universe" which I give a 5 out of 5 for creativity and the uniqueness of the book and plot. There was adventure, sci-fi, and romance which I enjoyed and I can't wait to see the sequel!

Title: Matched
Author: Allie Condie

Cassia has always trusted the Society to make the right choices for her: what to read, what to watch, what to believe. So when Xander's face appears on-screen at her Matching ceremony, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is her ideal mate . . . until she sees Ky Markham's face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black.

The Society tells her it's a glitch, a rare malfunction, and that she should focus on the happy life she's destined to lead with Xander. But Cassia can't stop thinking about Ky, and as they slowly fall in love, Cassia begins to doubt the Society's infallibility and is faced with an impossible choice: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she's known and a path that no one else has dared to follow.
